Rewired (Ray)

Hotwire was hanging with ray in the towers, playing games on the big screen.

"What did I tell you. So much more fun than playing on a small screen. Besides... I have like every game on here."

Ray pushed the buttons on her controller in a fast, swift, motion. "Yeah, now you can see yourself be beaten much more clearer." Ray taunted as she bashed her ship into Hotwire's

"Oh no fair!" hotwire yelled. With that, he began gaining an edge. He was having so much fun with ray. He hoped it wouldn't end he hoped it would-

It all went black. His body went limp. Of course, ray would be focused on the tv. But the sign something was off would be his ship veering off, and getting stuck in the corner of the screen.

Ray bashed Hotwire's car out of the game zone when it limply went into the corner. She jumped up into the air with a smile. "I WIN!!!-" She screamed as she saw hotwire limp on the floor. She would drop on her knees and hold Hotwire in her arms. "Hotwire!" She would yell at his face with tears filling her eyes.

Hotwire wouldn't respond. His body just sitting there like a sack. He had a pulse... but it was unsteady. His eyes glowed blue.

Ray sniffled and wiped the tears from her eyes. Hotwire was limp and he didn't seem like he was breathing, Ray was to emotional to check. 'Please come back." Ray said through tears.

As the tears fell on his arm, it sparked. The blue lines indicated by his powers began to spread all over his body. As electrical sparks jumped across him. He began to move... but not in a good way. He looked to be in severe pain. Writhing in rays arms.

Ray screamed as he squirmed. He wasn't dead but it looked like he was having a demon removed from his body. "HOTWIRE WAKE UP!" Ray screamed through tears.

Hotwire opened his mouth and began to scream. He appeared to be awake, but unaware of what was going on. All around the room, electronic devices of all sorts began to float. Disassembled. The seemed to move towards hotwire and ray. The random parts began to circle them.

"Urngggg..."

Ray dropped his body and looked around them. "Hotwire.. Please stop.. You're scaring me." Ray said with tears still streaming down her face.

Hotwire began to float as well, only for his body to rotate until his feet touched the ground. He gave a loud yell. The parts shot off in different directions. He fell to the floor. All visible damage gone. He looked normal, but still unconscious. He groaned a little.

Ray stayed back from Hotwire. She looked at the nerd she loved , but she was afraid on him. She had fear and tears in her eyes, she didn't want anything else to happen.

Hotwire began to stir a little. Sitting up slightly, he spoke.

"Ungh... what just happened?" he tried to look around. His vision was a little fuzy, but he saw a blob of blue, and a little blur of color above it.

"Ray... is that you?"

"Yes." Ray said in a small voice. She didn't want to admit it, but she was scared of Hotwire.

As his vision returned he stood up, his eyes back to normal.

"How long was I out?" He asked.

He then truly looked at rays face... she looked absolutely terrified.

"Ray? What happened?"

"Ten minutes." Ray said timidly as she tried to slide away from him, but make it less obvious. "You're eyes." Ray said simply, she didn't want to talk right now, she usually wasn't scared like this but losing Hotwire and watching him suffer like that, it wasn't her thing to sit through.

"What about my eyes?" He asked.

His eyes flashed again. While rays view of him would only seem different in the eyes... everything for hotwire changed. It all seemed blue. Technology appeared orange. The circuits... the parts... he could see it all. In slow motion. This was great! His mind was working faster than ever. Like a super-computer!

"Whoa..."

Ray turned around and walked to the kitchen. "No." Ray said as she opened the fridge and took out a soda and sipped it loudly.

Hotwire concentrated, and his vision returned to normal. It would appear he could control his vision at will in this way. As she took out the soda, hotwire noticed she left the fridge door open.

"Hey ray... you left the- He said holding his hand out.

The door closed behind her quickly... too quickly to be natural.

"Door..."

Ray jumped when the door closed by itself. "Damn it Hotwire what happened!" Ray said harshly setting her soda down.

"I have no idea... I can do things... I couldn't before." He holds his hand to the remote. It floated to him, and it broke into pieces. They floated in place. Hotwire saw the parts and schematics in his head. How everything worked. It was all there.

Hotwire had seen this blue glow before. That techno-force.

"I know what this is! I had a run in with a mysterious force during a fight a while back. It had a glow similar to this. I think it changed my powers... an it's kicking in now."

Ray was still scared but began to ease up as Hotwire explained. She ran to hotwire and hugged him around the neck. "You scared me so much." Ray said while hugging him tightly.
